Google Analytics 4 is a fantastic tool that helps you keep track of your conversions. But sometimes, you might notice duplicates in your data. No worries! We’ve got you covered. In this video, we’ll show you how to remove duplicate conversions in the GA4 audience list.
The custom audience list will have all the users who triggered a specific event. And, when a user is added to the list, a new conversion event will fire. Here’s a simple guide to get started:
- Go to the Admin section of your GA4 account
- Click on Audiences
- Click on “Create a Custom Audience”
- Click on “Add a Sequence”
- Choose the session_start event
- Add a new sequence
- Choose the event that you want to count as a conversion (for example, submit_form)
- Create a new trigger that fires when someone is added to this audience
- Copy the event name and save the audience
- Go to the Conversions section
- Add a new conversion and paste the event name that you copied
- Wait for 24 hours and test if it works
By following these steps, you’ll eliminate duplicates from your lead form submissions. Don’t forget to hit the subscribe button for more tutorials and updates.
